Mentally ill man beaten to death in social care institution

The Sega daily reports that a 32-year-old mentally ill man was found beaten to death in the social institution for mentally disabled adults in the village of Bastoshevo, near Sevlievo. His body was found in the early morning of 22 March on the floor between the beds in one of the rooms.

The newspaper reports that the men from the room have still not been questioned because of their "delicate physical and mental state". The personnel had not heard or seen anything. An inquiry has been opened.

The BHC will carry out its own investigation in the home in the coming days.
