State childcare institutions to be closed down for child abuse |

Standard daily - State childcare institutions where cases of child abuse are established are to be closed down, the director of the State Child Protection Agency Shirin Mestan announced. She said that children become victims of child abuse mainly in their onw homes. Cases when parents abuse their own children, however, are much more difficult to track. They are usually discovered when the child has already been seriously harmed. The State Agency for Child Protection and 70 NGOs launched a nationwide campaign "A Chance for Every Kid", whose aim is to help children from risk groups. |
