Police officer shoots girlfriend

PLOVDIV, 27June 2001 - The police officer Tzvetomir Mitrev shot and killed his 22-year-old girlfriend Diana Boykova in his home in Plovdiv. The incident happened when Mitrev was playing with his gun. The gun reportedly went off inadvertently and killed the woman. There were no witnesses to the incident.
