BHC submitted written comments concerning Bulgaria for consideration by CERD at its 92nd session

Bulgarian Helsinki Committee (BHC) submitted written comments to the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD) for the purposes of the forthcoming 92nd session of the treaty body.

Bulgarian human rights defenders stress on the participation of racist and xenophobic political parties in the government, institutional racism in connection to migration, discrimination in enjoyment of political rights by minorities, violation of the right of self-determination of Macedonians, as well as violations of their rights of peaceful assembly and association, forced evictions of Roma people from their only homes, segregation in education and others.
