Campaign for improvement of the conditions in the social care institutions in Bulgaria

This campaign focuses on improving the conditions in the 52 social care institutions in the country, where men and women with mental disabilities live.

Since its start in the autumn of 2002, two of the worst institutions have been closed down - the one in Dragash Vojvoda, where 22 residents died over a 15-month period, and the one in Sanadinovo, notorious for its cage for human beings in the yard. More about the campaign>>
